167 BSF recruits pass out

167 recruits of the Border Security Force take oath during the passing-out parade at

Srinagar, November 27
A fresh batch of 167 recruits after completing 40 weeks’ training participated in a passing-out parade at the Subsidiary Training Centre of the BSF at Humahama near here today. Mr A.K. Sethi, DIG, frontier headquarters, Baramula, took salute at the parade. Constable Abhinash Singh of Jammu and Kashmir stood all round first, Amar Jyoti Baruah (Assam) stood all round second, Nipu Baruah (Assam) best in drill, Nila Moni Bori (Assam best in endurance and Dhuraba Jyoti Saikia (Assam) topped in firing. Of the 167 fresh recruits 147 belonged to Assam, 12 to Jammu and Kashmir, three to Punjab, two each to Karnataka and Gujarat and one to Tamil Nadu. The training started on February 5.
