Sohal removed as PSEB chief

Patiala, December 11
The Punjab government today relieved Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) Chairman Gurcharan Singh Sohal, who had earlier gone on forced medical leave and had recently created a stir by expressing his desire to join duty again, from the post of Chairman of the board.

According to highly placed sources a notification passed today while relieving Mr Sohal from the post of Chairman, PSEB, asked him to rejoin his parent department National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) from where he had come on deputation.
