Three youths held in Sopore
Baramula, December 15
The Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested three Kashmiri youths from Sopore in the north Kashmir district of Baramula for their alleged involvement in the attack on Parliament on Thursday. Official sources said, following leads from the Delhi police, the SOG personnel were on the lookout for Ashiq Hussain Khan at Khwaja Sopore. Finding two youths with the name Ashiq Hussain the personnel picked them up for questioning. One of them is a student of computer engineering in Bangalore who had returned home for Id holidays.
Plane develops snag
New Delhi, December 15
An Alliance Air plane today developed a communication snag while flying over Jabalpur but landed safely here after engineers on board did some quick job. The flight with 56 passengers operating on Delhi-Raipur-Jabalpur-Delhi sector developed the problem soon after take-off from Jabalpur as the pilot on board and the Air Traffic Control, Jabalpur, were not able to communicate, Alliance Air Managing Director Anil Goyal said in a statement. Pilot Capt Mishra, called the aircraft radio maintenance engineer to the cockpit, who disconnected the interphone on the co-pilotís side which enabled the immediate availability of reception, he said.

Three teenagers have been arrested on charge of setting fire to a gurdwara. The youths, aged between 18 and 19, admitted their involvement in the blaze that took place on November 18 and said they were drunk, Sheriff Reuel Todd said yesterday. The Gobind Sadan House of Worship was housed in a converted farmhouse at Palermo, New York, about 40 km from Syracuse. Investigators said they were considering the fire a possible hate crime, which could lead to stiffer penalties under a law enacted last year.
