Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in

Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Himachal Pradesh. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Punjab and west Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Bhuntar 2 and Kumarsain 1 and Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 2 and Batote and Quazigund 1 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Haryana and Punjab and changed little elsewhere. The lowest temperature in the plains was 7.0C recorded at Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 17: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in Haryana, north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
