Home Minister L.K. Advani today charged the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Toiba as those responsible for carrying out the December 13 attack on Parliament at the behest of Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence and that it was aimed at wiping out the country’s top political leadership.

Action soon, says Vajpayee 
Rules out joint probe with Pakistan
New Delhi, December 18
Rejecting Pakistan’s proposal for a joint probe into the December 13 attack on Parliament, Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee today asserted that India would soon take action against the perpetrators of terror.

Oppn cautions against war

The Opposition today asked the Vajpayee government to exhaust all other options before deciding to launch an attack on terrorist camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir even as the ruling benches led by the BJP and the Shiv Sena clamoured for a strong action in retaliation against the December 13 terrorist attack on Parliament.

Cabinet okays corporate funding of elections

The government today cleared a slew of proposals, including corporate funding for the elections, amendments to the Money Laundering Bill and allocation of two coal bed methane blocks under the first phase of the CBM policy.
