Additional troops from various parts of the country have started reaching Jammu and other places, including border villages in Punjab, to meet any challenge from Pakistan.

Pakistan was maintaining a sizeable troop build-up along the border, the Chief of the Army Staff Gen S. Padmanabhan today said while assuring that India had taken “appropriate” steps to counter any threat to its security.
