Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitations in cms. are: Haryana: Chandigarh 1, Himachal Pradesh: Solangnala 4, Bhang and Bhuntar 2 each and Nagrota Surian and Rampur Bushar 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Batote and Banihal 2 each. Snowfall report (cms.): Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 31, and Patisio 6.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in Haryana and changed little elsewhere.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 6.5°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 21st: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
