Cop hacked to death
Bangalore, December 20
Assailants hacked to death Suresh, a police Constable, at Terakanabi village in Chamarajanagara district of Karnataka last night. The police here said Suresh was in the village yesterday on receiving a complaint from a group of residents, within hours after a clash. He was interacting with a group when a gang belonging to the rival group attacked and hacked him to death. Cases have been registered against nine persons. UNI

Panic in HC

Functioning in the Gujarat High Court premises came to a sudden halt today as panic spread among those present following a bogus phone call to a court official that terrorists were about to attack the premises. High Court sources, said, the call, in Hindi, was received just before the lunch recess. UNI
