India recalls High Commissioner to Pakistan
Samjhauta Express, Lahore bus service to be terminated

New Delhi, December 21
Signalling toughening of its stand vis a vis Pakistan, India today recalled its High Commissioner to Islamabad and terminated the Delhi-Lahore bus service as well as the Samjhauta Express train running between the two countries for the past 25 years.

In Video: External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Nirupama Rao  said India was recalling its Ambassador to Pakistan because of Islamabad's continuing support to cross-border terrorism.

USA freezes assets of LeT

Washington, December 21
In a tightrope walking to avoid hurting his ally Pakistan, US President George W. Bush has announced a freeze on the assets of Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Toiba describing it as a “stateless sponsor of terrorism” hoping to destroy relations between New Delhi and Islamabad.

India welcomes US decision on LeT
Islamabad must ban Jaish-e-Mohammad
New Delhi, December 21
While welcoming the US decision to freeze the assets of the Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba, India today again stressed on the need for Islamabad to ban the outfit along with Jaish-e-Mohammad and hand over the culprits behind the planning and executing of the attack on Parliament House on December 13.

Dec 13 attack at ISI’s behest: Afzal
New Delhi, December 21
Mohammad Afzal, co-ordinator of the Jaish-e-Mohammad in Delhi and the main suspect in the December 13 terrorist attack on Parliament House, is understood to have revealed that the attack was carried out at the behest of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence.
