CBI arrests Patheja for fraud
New Delhi, December 21
The Bank Securities and Fraud Cell of the CBI has arrested the Director of Patheja Brothers Forging and Stamping Ltd and Patheja Forging and Auto Parts Manufacturers Ltd (PFAML), Pune for allegedly cheating the Bank of India of $ 29 million. The accused, Paramjeet Singh Patheja, was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his arrest, a CBI press note said here today. A look out notice was also issued against him. The CBI after sustained efforts of almost 1 year succeeded in arresting him from Dhanraj Mahal, Colaba, Mumbai recently. TNS

Children’s film fest from Dec 26
Kolkata, December 21
Cine Central, one of the country’s premier films clubs, will hold a children’s film festival at Nandan from December 26 to 30 on the occasion of the birth centenary of noted filmmaker Walt Disney. Mr Aloke Chandra, general secretary, Cine Central, said on Thursday that it would be celebrated in a befitting manner. Ten films from different countries would be screened, he added. UNI
