22 Pak soldiers killed in shelling
Jammu, December 24
Twentytwo Pakistani soldiers were killed and at least 21 bunkers destroyed when Indian troops opened retaliatory fire on Pakistani frontier positions in the Karmara and Kerni areas across the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir today.

Troops move close to Punjab border

Pakistan has redeployed nuclear-capable medium range ballistic missile batteries in the last 48 hours and moved its troops and air force closer to Sindh-Rajasthan and Punjab borders, sources said.

In line with American action, Islamabad today froze the assets and bank accounts of Pak-based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba whose chief Hafiz Muhammed Sayeed quit the post announcing the winding up of the activities of the organisation in Pakistan.
