Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in west Rajasthan, rose in east Rajasthan, fell in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 1: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 1: Partly cloudy sky. Possibility of thundery development/light rain in some areas tomorrow. Mist/fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 7C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of January 1: Light rain is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
