Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was manly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Ambala and Chandigarh 1 each; Himachal Pradesh: Kangra 3 and Baijnath and Nagarotasuran 2 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 5; east Rajasthan: Kotharidam and Kushalgarh 4 each, Begu, Mandalgarh, Srimadhopur and Sararidam 3 each, Bagidogra, Chittaurgarh, Mandana and Solopat 2 each and Arnod, Banswara, Chandsen, Danpur, Dariabad, Dhambola, Maliakot, Ghatol, Jagpura, Kesarpura, Loharia, Malpura, Mojamabad, Pidawa, Shergarh, Sajangarh, Sagwara and Vejan 1 each; east Uttar Pradesh: Hanumansetu 1; west Uttar Pradesh: Kalpi 4, Hamirpur and Shahjina 3 each, Bareilly and Narora 2 each and Dabri and Fatehgarh 1 each; and Uttaranchal: Bausan 11, Dehra Dun 8, Haripur 5, Tehri 3, Banbasa 2 and Rudraprayag 1.
