Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala and Sujanpurtira 9 each, Bhoranj and Nagrotasurian 6 each, Guler, Nadaun and Sundernagar 5 each, Baijnath and Shimla 4 each, Hamirpur, Pandoh and Sunnibhaji 3 each, Kahu and Nurpur 2 each and Ghamroor 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal and Pahalgam 1 each, east Rajasthan: Salopat 3, Shergarh 2 and Bagidogra, Galwania, Kushalgarh, Sajangarh and Viratnagar 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Palliakalan 16, Lucknow control room 6, Gomita, Kanpur and katerniaghat 5 each, Bani 3, Lucknow A.P. 2, and Beharaich, Dalmau, Elginbridge, Gorakhpur and Jaunpur 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Ankinghat 7, Kalpi 3, Mohana 2 and Bareilly, Fatehgarh and Shahjina 1 each and Uttaranchal Bausan 15, Haripur 12, Almora 7, Tehri 6, Uttarkashi 5, Rudraprayag 4, Banbasa 3, Dehra Dun and Joshimath 2 each.
