Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Rajasthan, at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Chandigarh and Kalka 1 each. Himachal Pradesh: Paonta 7, east Rajasthan: Bhadesar 10, Beghandam 6, Chhotisadri and Jagpura 5 each, Lalsot 4, Bagidora, Dungla, Ghatol, Indergarh, Loharia, Merta, Moreldam, Mount Abu, Pratapgarh and Salumber 2 each and Bhilwara, Banera, Barisadri, Bargaon, Dausa, Dariabad, Devgarh, Galwa, Gopalpura, Jhadol, Kushalgarh, Mojamabad, Mandalgarh, Sarwar, Shergarh, Sagwara and Sabla 1 each, west Rajasthan: Desuri 3 and Ahore, Bikaner and Balotra 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Katerniaghat and Lucknow city 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Jhansi 1 and Uttaranchal: Haripur 8, Bausan 7, Uttarkashi 5 and Joshimath 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 7: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in south Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in rest of the region.
