Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at many places in Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and isolated in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms. are: Haryana: Tajewala 3, New Delhi (Palam) 2 and Dadupur and Naraingarh 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Nahan 9, Pandoh and Sujanpurtira 5 each and Nagrotasurian, Paonta, Rampurbushahar and Shimla 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Srinagar 2, Punjab: Ropar 13, East Rajasthan Mount Abu 17, Sawaimadhopur 12, Arnod, Bundi and Kotri 11 each, Indergarh 10, Hindaun, Lalsot and Niwai 9 each, Bawanwas and Nainwa 8 each, Chaksu, Degod and Hindoli 7 each, Pratapgarh 6, Dariabad, Dausa and Gangapur city 5 each, Dungla, Karauli Naraina, Railmogra, Rashmi and Tonk 4 each, Bhusawar, Behror, Gogunda, Jhadol, Rajasamnd, Sarwar, Sambhar, Tadaraisingh and Vijaynagar 3 each, Bassi, Bijolia, Boli, Devli, Kherwara, Masuda, Nagaur and Navalgarh 2 each and Aligarh, Dholpur, Jayal, Kishangarh, Kekri, Manoharthana and Rajakhera 1 each, West Rajasthan Bidra 5, Raniwara 4, Fatehgarh, Jaisalmer, Pokhran and Sanchore 3 each, Chetan and Phalodi 2 each and Jodhpur 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi city 2 and Allahabad, Banda and Varanasi A.P. 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh Etawah 4, Chillaghat 3, Hamirpur, Narora and Shahjina 2 each and Dabri 1 and Uttaranchal Srinagar 8, Dehradun 7, Tehri 5, Banbasa 4 and Bausan and Haripur 3 each.

Heavy rainfall warning: Scattered heavy rain with isolated very heavy rain falls are likely in east Rajasthan during the next 48 hours. Isolated heavy rain is also likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the same period.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood area valid until the morning of August 10: Generally cloudy sky with one or two spells rain/thundershowers.
