Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Rajasthan, at many places in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Haryana: Narnaul 2 and Hissar and Kaithal 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Rampurbushahar 9, Shimla and Sunnibhaji 5 each, Jhandutta 4, Berthin and Kasol 3 each, Pandoh and Solan 2, Ghamroor, Guler, Bhung and Kandaghat 1 each, Punjab: Nangal 2, and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 4, Dehra Dun and Srinagar 3 each, Tehri 2 and Pantnagar and Rudraprayag 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 15: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Scattered heavy rain with isolated very heavy falls are likely in east Rajasthan during the next 48 hours. Isolated heavy rain is also likely in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the same period.
