Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are Haryana: Tajewala 4, Nilokheri 2 and Ayanagar and New Delhi (Palam and Safdarjung) 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Kahu 8, Shimla 4, Nadaun 3, Kandaghat 2 and Sundernagar 1, Punjab: Patiala 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 21: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.
