Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 1, east Uttar Pradesh: Kanpur (F.M.) and Kakrahi 2 each and Ankinghat, Basti (F.M.), Bhatpurwaghat, Chillaghat, Elginbridge, Fatehgarh, Hanumansetu, Lucknow a.P., Neemsar, Pallikalan, Raebareilly and shardanagar 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Gomtia 2 and Bareilly, Moradabad and Narora 1 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 6, Rishikesh 3 and Mukteshwar 2.
