Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: east Uttar Pradesh: Gorakhpur 22, Kakrahi 11, Ghazipur 5, Turtipar 4, Bansi, Ballia and Varanasi A.P. 3 each, Dalmau 2 and Allahabad, Ayodhya Jaunpur and Varanasi City 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 30: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
