Cold wave conditions have abated from Haryana including Chandigarh, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall: Rain/snow have occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and changed little elsewhere and Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2.6C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 29: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 29: Partly cloudy sky. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 06C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of January 29: Sky will be partly cloudy.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
