Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was dry in rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in Haryana and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: This was markedly above normal in Uttaranchal, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and above normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 7.4C recorded in Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of February 10: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 10: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development in some areas. Mist/haze in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 12C.
