Rainfall: Rain/snow occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Bhuntar 5, Rampurbushahar 2, Bhang and Dhundhi 1 each and Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 1.

Temperature: (past 24 hours change) The minimum temperature fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal; fell in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: These were markedly above normal in Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh; appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal; and above normal in the rest of the region. the lowest temperature in the plains was 9.9C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast (valid until the morning of February 18): Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
