Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.5ēC recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 23, 2006: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 23, 2006: Mainly clear sky, likely to become partly cloudy towards evening. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 16ēC.
