Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Rajasthan, a few places in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Bharwain and Pandoh 2 each and Kasauli 1, Punjab: Ropar 3, east Rajasthan: Bakani 7, Aspur and Pipalkhunt 4 each, Galiakot 3, Bhungra, Jagpura, Railmogra, Sallopat, Sagwara, Shahpura and Vallabhnagar 2 each and Amet, Begu, Chikli, Chittorgarh, Ghatol, Jhadol, Kherwara, Kotri, Mandalgarh, Mavli and Udaipur AP 1 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 2 and Uttarkashi 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 6 2006: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and west Rajasthan and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in east Rajasthan, south Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of July 6 2006: Generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers accompanied with squall in some areas.
