Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Chandigarh and Dhansa 2 each and Bahadurgarh 1, Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala and Solang nala 2 each and Nadaun 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Quazigund 1, Punjab: Balachaur 1, East Rajasthan: Aligarh, Baran, Didwana, Khandar and Pipalda 3 each, Chhabra, Chhipabroad, Mahuwa and Swai Madhopur 2 each and Bakani, Jhalawar, Lalsot, Mangrol and Pachpahad 1 each and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 2 and Banabasa, Dehradun, Joshimath, Kalagarh and Mukteshwar 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 16 2006: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Uttaranchal and Delhi and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy to very heavy rain is likely at a few places in east Rajasthan during the next 48 hours. Isolated heavy rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the same period.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 16 2006: Generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain/thundershowers.
