A creation of small hands
Asha Ahuja

Ludhiana, September 2
Two young students Aanchal Kailey of UKG and Gurpreet Kailey of Class I of DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, have made a ship made out of different chart papers with photographs of the Principal and other students mounted on it.

Both Aanchal and Gurpreet had worked for many days after school to create the ship. They cut out papers of different sizes of different colours and then pasted them.

The credit to a large extent goes to their father Pawan Kailey, a tailor from Goraya. Pawan’s achievements have been highlighted in the columns of this paper. He had made a half-inch nightsuit and jacket that could be worn hundreds of time. His name has been entered in the Limca Book of Records. The illiterate tailor has been interviewed on a number of home channels. He has also gone abroad and been covered by television channels there too, for his creations.

Pawan gave the idea of putting up the pictures of the schoolchildren and their Principal on the paper ship. The Principal, Ms Suman Sharma, and the entire staff of the school appreciated their efforts and asked them to make such like models in future too.

Both Aanchal and Gurpreet told Ludhiana Tribune that they were very happy to follow the footsteps of their father.
