Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Quazigund 1, Punjab: Nawanshahr 2, East Uttar Pradesh: Balamikinagar and Varanasi AP 1 each and Uttaranchal: Haripur and Rishikesh 2 each.
