Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Jhalawar (Rajasthan) has recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures change little. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.0C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 18.2C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 4: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, southeast Rajasthan and southwest Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 4: Mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy towards evening/night. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 36C and 22C respectively.
