Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum fell in Rajasthan and change little elsewhere. They were appreciably above normal in East Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40.0C recorded at Bharatpur, Churu and Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

The minimum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in West Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 19 C recorded at Chandigarh, and Swaimadhopur (Rajasthan).

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood (valid until the morning of October 9): Mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 37C and 23C, respectively.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi (valid until the morning of October 9): Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
