Homecoming for new station superintendent
It was just homecoming for Mr Ashok Kumar, who took charge from Mr Subash Kumar Ghosh as Station Superintendent at the Jalandhar railway station on Tuesday, as he belongs to Jalandhar itself.

Contest to groom young speakers
Grooming the young speakers as confident orators, students of Mayor World School participated in a poetry recitation contest and “Just a Minute” session. A story-telling contest was organised at Seth Hukum Chand SD Public Senior Secondary School.

Special Olympics
The ninth Special Olympics Games were organised at Nabha recently in which children from 25 schools participated. Students of Prayas, a school for mentally challenged here, won 21 gold medals, 20 silver and seven bronze medals. Two students of the school, Sikander and Sukhjinder, were declared best among boys.
