Ensure Sorenís presence: Court

New Delhi, December 1
A city court which had convicted sacked Union Coal Minister and JMM leader Shibu Soren of murder, today issued notice to the AIIMS Director, asking him to ensure Mr Sorenís presence on December 5.

Additional Sessions Judge B.R. Kedia, who had to defer the pronouncement of the sentence for the second time today to Mr Soren and the four co-accused till December 5 as he did not appear in the court.

Mr Soren was rushed to the AIIMS soon after his conviction on November 28 as he had complained of chest pain and had been admitted to the ICU.

AIIMS Director P. Venugopal or its Medical Superintendent was directed by the court to ensure the presence of Mr Soren on December 5 for the pronouncement of sentence and also furnish details about his health.
