Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh.

Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Punjab and west Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana.

Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir) recorded 1 cm. of rainfall.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, rose in Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and

Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere Departure: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 05.5C recorded at Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 28: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal.

Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Decrease in precipitation.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 28: Mist/shallow fog in the morning. Partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain in some areas. The minimum temperature will be around 09C.
