Female foeticide: Awareness must to avert tragedy

The Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Mr Vijender Jain, expressed deep concern over the evil of female foeticide and skewed sex ratio in the state. Speaking at the annual function of local lawyers today, he appealed to all sections of society to come up against the evil.

Thousands of devotees participate in Nagar Kirtan
Mandi Ahmedgarh, January 3
Thousands of devotees from the town and surrounding villages participated in a Nagar Kirtan organised by Sikh religious organisations here today.
The ‘kirtan’ was organised under the aegis of the Kalgidhar Federation and Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee, Singh
Sabha, to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, which falls on January 5.
