Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region. Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana and Punjab and changed little elsewhere. They were appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Haryana, and Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was M 0.5C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 5: Weather will be mainly dry over the region. However, rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh from January 4.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in north Haryana and Punjab during the next night.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain/ thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, West Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 5: Mainly clear sky. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 0.5C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of January 5: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
