Lohri celebrated
Abohar:
Keeping its 20-year-old tradition alive members of the Samaj Sewa Sanstha on Sunday celebrated Lohri with families of leprosy patients at Geeta Mandir here. They recited bhajans and performed arti. Mr Angi, president of the NGO, along with others distributed shawls, lohis, fruits, rice and sweet packets, besides beds, beddings and blankets among the affected families.

Polio immunisation
FAZILKA:
In second phase of pulse polio immunisation programme 7656 children upto the age of five years were administered polio drops. Dr I.M. Challana in charge of the programme said 35 booths, four transit teams and two mobile teams had been set up in the town for the immunisation. Of the total 1,200 children the remaining shall be administered polio vaccine by the Health Department teams in next two days.
