Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana, above normal in west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was minus 0.8 degree Celsius recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast (valid until the morning of January 11): Isolated rain/snow is likely in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in north Haryana during the next two nights.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Weather will be mainly dry.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood (valid until the morning of January 11): Cold wave conditions are prevailing in Delhi, likely to abate during the next 24 hours. Partly cloudy sky. Mist/fog likely tomorrow morning. The minimum temperature will be around 5 degree Celsius.
