Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperature rose in Jammu and Kashmir and change little elsewhere. They were appreciably below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana and west Rajasthan, above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was -1.1°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 12: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry over the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at many parts of Punjab and at a few places over Haryana and north Rajasthan.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Mainly dry weather.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 12: Mainly clear sky. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 5°C.
