4 buffaloes killed
: Four buffaloes were killed and over a dozen others injured when a truck (RJ-01-G-5321) carrying 25 buffaloes overturned after it hit another vehicle on National Highway-8 at Dharuhera last evening. The truck driver, Sharief Mohammad, reportedly fled after the accident. The buffaloes, which were brought from Ajmer in Rajasthan, were being taken to Delhi for butchery. The Dharuhera police has registered a case.

Vehicle stolen: A new Scorpio vehicle (HR-99-TP-3525) was reportedly stolen from Mr Ram Nath Mahlawat's residence in Shakti Nagar here on Saturday night. On a complaint lodged by car owner Vikas Gulati, who had parked the car there, the Model Town police has registered a case of trespass and theft under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC in this regard.

Blankets distributed: As many as 500 blankets and sweaters were distributed among poor men, women and children by the Revenue and Irrigation Minister, Capt Ajay Singh Yadav, and his wife, Shakuntala, at a special samaroh held under the auspices of the District Red Cross Society at Bal Bhavan here on Sunday.
