Temperatures remain below normal

New Delhi, January 16
Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region. Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 0.2°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 18: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places over north Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan and north-west Uttar Pradesh during the next two nights.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: A Western Disturbance is likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir from January 18. Under its influence rain/snow is likely at a few places over Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Isolated rain/thundershowers may occur over Punjab.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 18: Mainly clear sky. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 05°C.
