AMLOH RESENTMENT: Daljit Singh of the SAD has expressed resentment against the denial of party ticket to Mr Baldev Singh Hazimajra, chairman, International Bhau Bhichara, Sangasthan, for the Assembly elections from the Amloh constituency. Jagraon Shop burgled: Some persons burgled the shop of Krishan Singh in the Agwar Gujjran area, Jagraon, on Sunday night. They allegedly stole women suits, footwear and other articles worth Rs 65,000. The local police has registered a case under Section 379, IPC. No arrest has been made so far. Couple booked: Kewal Singh and his wife Sarbjit Kaur of Talwandi Rai allegedly stopped Rajwinder Kaur of their village when she was going somewhere and assaulted her. The Raikot police has booked the couple under Sections 341, 323, 34 of the IPC. Patiala Pact signed: The management Sri Guru Harkrishan College of Management and Technology, Patiala, has signed an agreement signed with Concordia University, Wisconsin the USA to provide special course and training, and in pursuance of this, it would sponsor eight students for the three-week certificate course in information technology and management. Painting exhibition: A three-day exhibition of paintings by Ms Harpinder Virk will be held at Banasar Art Gallery, Sheesh Mahal, from January 22. Shiv Dular Singh Dhillon, Managing Director of the PRTC, will inaugurate the exhibition at 10.30 a.m, entitled “Emotions as Illusions”. This will be the second exhibition of Harpinder’s works. |
