Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region. Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was M 0.7C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 25, 2007: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh during the next one night.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: A fresh western disturbance is likely to approach North West India on January 25, 2007. Under its influence isolated rain/snow may occur in Jammu and Kashmir on 25-01-2007. After 24 hours rain/snow may occur at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Punjab, north Haryana and northwest Rajasthan.
