Rainfall: Weather remained dry in the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: The temperature was below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 27: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Weather will remain mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 27: Partly cloudy sky.Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 9C.
