Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Rajasthan and change little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2.4°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
Forecast valid until the morning of 29th January 2007: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
