Cop held for bid to enter PMs house

New Delhi, February 1
A drunk Delhi Police constable tonight tried to sneak into the high-security official residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Race Course road here. It is the second attempted security breach at the place in eight months.

Bhurra Singh, the constable, tried to enter through the outer gate but was stopped by Special Protection Group personnel. When confronted, the constable told the SPG guards that he was going to have his dinner, sources said.

The SPG detained Singh and handed him over to the Delhi Police. PTI
