Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in east Uttar Pradesh and change little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.5C, recorded at Amritsar in Punjab.

Forecast valid until the morning of February 3: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: A western disturbance likely to affect western Himalayas. Under its influence, isolated to scattered rain or snow is likely in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 3: Mainly clear sky. Mist in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 10C.
