Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 6.4C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 7: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Night temperatures in the plains of the region will be above normal by 2 to 4C.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Mainly dry weather. Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 7:Mainly clear sky.

Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 12C.
