Clash between Congress, Akali supporters averted

French delegation visits PAU

A five-member French delegation was impressed with the achievements of Punjab Agricultural University in scripting the first Green Revolution in the country. The delegation had thorough interaction with the PAU Vice-Chancellor, Dr KS Aulakha, and other scientists of the university, besides visiting a few farms.

Drishtikon-2007 set to take off

In continuation with a joint endeavour to promote photography as an art, Drishtikon-2007 now enters its sixth exposition with a photo exhibition on nature by photo artists TPS Sandhu and Ranjodh Singh at Sundial Hall, Sutlej Club, Ludhiana. The exhibition is on from February 24 to 26 from 11 am to 9 pm.

Inter-farm varsities games begin
Ludhiana, February 23
The 8th all-India inter-agricultural universities sports meet was inaugurated here today by vice-chancellor Dr K.S. Aulakh at the sprawling PAU grounds amid cheering crowd of sports persons, students, university staff and faculty. More than 1,500 students from over 34 agricultural universities are participating in this four-day meet.
