Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Uttarakhand, rose in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly below normal in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana, west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, below normal in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 27.3C recorded at Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). The lowest temperature in the plains was 7.5C recorded at Narnaul (Haryana).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in east Uttar Pradesh, rose in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and changed little elsewhere.

Forecast (valid until the morning of March 5): Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Mainly dry weather.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood (valid until the morning of March 5): Partly cloudy sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 25C and 12C respectively.
