Sans power for 2 days; PSEB cares a damn
Ludhiana, March 13
For residents of Sant Vihar, Chuharpur Road, a power cut is not a trouble that lasts a few hours only. For the last two days they are suffering as there has been no power supply at all. All their attempts at making complaints to the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) have also failed.

Court issues notice on PIL for May 2

Taking cognizance of a PIL filed by a social organisation seeking removal of encroachments, shifting of polluting industries from residential area and providing clean atmosphere, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued a notice of motion to the authorities concerned for May 2.

Final year students of Desh Bhagat Engineering College excelled in the placement drive conducted by Tech-Mahindra, Infosys and HCL. A newly-introduced treatment of Lucentis (Ranibizumab injection) in the vitreo-retinal services of the Department of Eye at the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) here, restored the vision of a 70-year old patient, who was brought to the hospital with the complaint of poor vision in both the eyes.

Barkatpal Singh and Hardeep Kaur were adjudged the best athletes among boys and girls, respectively, at a sports meet organised at Jawala Devi College of Education, Sanghol, near here, today.
